I'm posting this for a friend who happens to own my old boat.
After putting in what was basically a new Palmer into the boat a year ago, they over cranked the engine (again) and sucked water into the cylinders. Water has been cleared out but now there's no compression in 3 cylinders. I suspect frozen valves at minimum, could be more problems though.
Anyway, they're biting the bullet and upgrading to a Beta diesel and wish to sell this Palmer, plus a couple of crates of good parts from the original.
This is a complete Palmer with Paragon transmission in what was perfect condition, rebuilt by Dick Day. If I had a use for it I'd scoop in up myself...but I don't. Someone out there should have a good home. Cheap I bet.
Engine is out of boat and ready to pick up in Oxford, MD.
