Nice maintenance video

I follow Tom on his youtube channel. Did not know but should have guessed he would be of the atomic 4 persuasion. He recently posted this helpful general maintenance video http://youtu.be/wRsVCuzyo2s

I agree it is a helpful video EXCEPT full throttle in gear on the dock lines? Why not take the boat for a spin in the bay/river/channel/harbor/deep blue sea, anything but tied to the dock!

Towards the end of the video he gave the carb a spritz of sea foam. Should I be doing this? Never have. I haven't had to take the carb apart in many years. Maybe this is why the sparks were unreasonably grungy?

If you're worried about your dock lines taking full throttle, you need better dock lines. Personally, I'm more worried about the dock that my cleats are attached to than the lines (yes, they're my cleats and my bolts).

I'm fine with my dock lines (eye spliced 3/4") but it's not my dock, not my cleats and not my bolts holding the cleats. No thanks.
