    Spare engine- Where to Start?

When I bought my boat in 2013, the previous owner included a box of spare parts and a spare block and head. The block is missing the crank shaft, and my understanding is that a wrist pin let go and buggered the whole thing. It's now sitting in pieces in my shed and I can't help but wonder what it would take to turn it into a working spare.

I know that at least one piston seems jammed in the cylinder, but the block and head look solid and in reasonably good condition. I'd be curious if and how you would start to bring the beast back to life. I'm assuming a machine shop would be needed, but I really have no idea what to even ask for. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Oh this requires some pictures. Engine pron if you may. I rebuilt my primary motor from 2 non runners, it can be done. Pull the crank and pistons and have a look.

Is the water jacket side of the motor in good shape? If that is not shot your off to a good start.
