Definitely!!

You know there are some fresh projects out there!

How about a 2015 Calendar available in Brenda's Gift Shop?!!

Inspiration all year round!! (especially for those snowed-in sailors of the north!)

Elizabeth, I don't know about pin-up quality, but I have some before & after pics in my album, which you can get to my clicking on my username and selecting "public profile" & then 'albums'.

I need to update it, as I've added FWC and painted my HX to match the engine, and have a few other upgrades too.

Twice Around - Heat Exchanger

Stanley, you mention adding FWC. Did you install the Moyer Marine system or whose? I'd like to do for Dixie, also a C30 ('79). Two aspects that I'd like to know, if the MMI unit: It seems that there is just enough clearance between the engine front and compartment bulkhead to just fit the pump pulley. Is this your approach (I'd add a small service door)? Second - did you use the MMI heat exchanger? If so, where did you put it? If not, what did you use? By the way - like everyone else, sure like and enjoy all the pin-up pics (and any other boat improvement pics).

No, I designed and built a one-off custom FWC system.

I do not think there is enough clearance. I used a Johnson electric pump, similar to the one sold by Indigo. I borrowed thatch's pump design idea, and mounted mine in the crook of the HX, so it is in line between the cold side of the HX & the engine side plate and sees the coolest water possible, although it is rated for over 200°F. In fact, it has seen well over that when debris in the HX I think clogged the pump and blew the fuse and overheated the motor..one of the downsides of an electric pump.

No, I used a Sendure 2T-15-2P. It is a two-pass, 2" diameter, 21" tall HX..It is my opinion that it is slightly undersized, but it was so cheap on ebay I had to try it and experiment. It is adequate provided the system is working at 100%..I have no margin for error, any deficiencies and the motor heats up very fast.
My buddy Spenser's boat (C-30 #355) came with the Indigo kit with the belt driven pump mounted under the alternator when he bought it. It seems to work OK, but I do not like the load this places on the accessory drive, but that is just my opinion..it seems to work just fine and solves the issue on C-30's with lack of access to the flywheel. His HX is in the same place mine is...just to port of the motor at the very front of the engine box, and it just fits.

FYI - MMI's FWC kit and Indigo's FWC kits use the same Monitor brand HX as far as I know.

edit - Rod, at work I cannot upload pics, but now that I am at home and for anyone else interested, here is a link to my album with some updated C-30 pics with electric antifreeze pump FWC. - http://www.moyermarine.com//forums/album.php?albumid=37
