Bolt Kits
I've been replacing old screws & bolts in the engine.
Fly wheel cover, alternator support arm, various mounting brackets. Instead of trying to pick through the offerings at the local hardware it'd be nice to have a kit that has all new replacements in the proper grades (apparently stainless isn't the best for everything). Maybe two levels of kit, "Overhaul" & "Rebuild". In the Overhaul kit please include bolts/screws (& appropriate washers) for: -Fly wheel cover -Fuel Pump mounting bracket -Coil mount -Throttle cable mount (& cable securing bolts) -Distributor screw -Alternator support arm (both ends) -(& maybe starter mounting screws, as well as water jacket side plate, even though it's a kit of its own.) Did I leave anything out? Basically everything above the oil pan. The Rebuild kit can be the Overhaul kit plus everything else. Thanks, Leon Last edited by Trés 30; 07-05-2014 at 10:06 AM. |

Oil pan cap screws get rusted and rounded and in some cases are hard to access with a socket. I converted to allen headed bolts where possible. Don't forget the copper washers.
