Good Used Atomic needed

Got a buddy down at our Club on the North Shore of Lake Ont in need of a good used Late Model Atomic. Was wondering if maybe someone on here might have or know where one might be available.

Ideally he would like one that is all ready to go. If he can't find one locally he may go the short block option from Moyer so would be interested in any tips or learning's on how best to get one of those to the North Shore of Lake Ont.

Thanks for the heads up on that one but he is on the West Coast, we are about 1 hrs east of Toronto. Hoping we might be able to find something a little closer, luckily we have till spring to find one.

Search Craigslist and whatever your local equivalent is. My current A4 came from a ship's chief engineer that was bored while his ship was getting bottom paint and rebuilt an A4 for fun. He put it up for $1500 and I bought it the same day.
Also ask around yards that do diesel installations, they probably have one or two around.

Folk's thanks for the replies and the possible sources.Ideally he is looking for a ready to go drop in if he can find one locally ( or some where fairly close with in Ontario ). If he is going to have to go south of border to US he will probably go with the Moyer Short Block option.

Anyways he has some time as our Boats are on the hard and lift in isn't till the first Sat in May of 2020.

Thanks for all the help and extra sets of eye's, we have 3 good leads on 3 different motors all with in a couple hrs drive so I think for now we are good. Surely one of these 3 will work out. If not I will be back looking.

Yes we have been in touch with this fella as well. I think at this time we are in good shape as we have 3 good potential motors ( one from a fella thru this forum ) as all 3 of these motor's sound good ( may need some $ negotiating ) and the furthest away is say 2 hr drive and the closest is like 20 mins.

So its up to my friend which one he wants to go for.

Thanks for all the help and heads up on potential replacements so I think for now we are ok and will suspend looking.

My mate found a good used one last fall and has it installed now and up and running with out any issues.
