    Temperature alarm questions

After overheating my engine I am looking at an audible alarm, because I'm too dumb to look at a dial. The Kit sold here has a 3/8 inch switch is this supposed to replace the sensor going to the dial or does it go somewhere else along the coolant system? Same with the oil pressure switch, I have a low pressure switch controlling the fuel pump does the kits switch replace that or something else? I like having the gauges but periods of inattention have gotten me in trouble.

    Thanks

Keep the temp and oil senders that you have. Add the new alarm switches where you can. This often requires installing a tee fitting somewhere.

      Joe,

Check out the COLE HERSEE LOW OIL PRESSURE, HIGH ENGINE TEMP ALARM.

MM sells it but go online for a better price.

      I believe I got mine on E-Bay for $35.00

      Regards

The MMI kit is the same CH product but also includes the fittings you will need to install it (tees etc. ). That's why the price is a little higher.
