Water in the Exhaust?
Hello and thank you all for previous help.
I just had to replace my exhaust pipe because it broke and noticed that cooling water was coming out of the hole in the exhaust?. I took the heat exchanger out and tested it to be OK I took the exhaust manifold out and tested it to be OK There might be water in the oil but it has to be very little because the level is ok and the color of the oil is looking good. The only thing i noticed was that the gasket between the manifold and the exhaust was busted and also that there were water coming from the top fastening bolt of the exhaust (bolt goes into water cooling), could i have been getting water from there?, Any ideas? kjell www.trafficated.com |

Kjell,
You are very likely to be getting water from the water jacket along the threads of the unpper exhaust flange bolt. When this happens in our shop, we usually install a stainless stud with JB Weld on the inner threads for sealer. Don |
