I'll be leaving Myrtle Beach 10 April and expect to be in Oriental 15 or 16 April. If Paul is still there I'll be giving a hand on the engine swap. Should be in the Chesapeake no later than 27 or 28 April.

Moving north
Will be heading out shortly but before I go just gotta give a plug for Osprey Marina. At $1.00/ft for the first 3 days and $.25/ft thereafter up to 30 days you can't beat it with a club. The place is peaceful, friendly and impeccably maintained. Enterprise Rental will deliver a car and return you afterwards. Could be out of touch for a few days. Best to all, Hanley

Greetings from
"The Bean"---across the street from the town dock at Oriental, NC, neat little coffee shop with WiFi. Met up with Dan (MC) and Paul and Trina (PT26). Went and fetched the (new to to them) engine with them and some other A4 goodies as well. Should be installing the engine early next week. Boat show here this weekend has the town hopping.

Greetings from
Whittaker Pointe Marina, Oriental, NC directly across the creek from Deaton Boat Yard where we are replacing the corroded engine from the PT26 with a rebuilt early unit. So far only the routine changeover issues and we will be using the old manifold, carb and (good) hot section since the carb gaskets and seat could be a little suspect after 20 years of storage and I don't want to disturb the flange. Removal of 2 manifold studs revealed 5 threads on both studs and block--very impressive. A changeover to FWC is contemplated. Should be up and running by end of this week and next will be a shakedown run to Elizabeth City. See the PT 26 repower thread.

@Hanley, how can you pick your arrival dates so accurately? I lost 5 days in Deep Creek
due to weather then 4 more in Worton Creek and 4 more again in Chesapeake City (I moved to an inner free dock there so it wouldn't be so rough but was stuck in the mud at appx. 1/4 tide or less).

Hanley, let me know if you stop in Solomons. I have a 1GB RAM chip for your laptop too!
If you move north quickly enough, you may see this crazy guy coming in from the ocean. He is 99% of the way done with a circumnavigation of the American continents via the Northwest Passage & Cape Horn () in a Vega 27. He started from Annapolis last June.
