That spring also looks funny, like there's a bit missing off the end.

Edward, I agree. I see at least 2 coils missing and a buggered end under the retainer cap. Makes me wonder where the pieces are.

I didnt think to count the coils. The angle on the pic may be hiding some of them. Will check it out in a day or two.
