Valve Guide Removal

I am going to have my block cleaned and tested before continuing with the rebuild. Is it necessary to remove the valve guides before having this done. I have noticed that you recommend removing the cam bearing, however, I can not find any mention of the valve guides.

Thanks,

Zack

Zack,

We never remove the valve guides unless to replace them. We replace them if they are damaged or worn in excess of .004" stem to guide clearance.

Regards,

Don
