Reversing gear shaft

As far as I know, you will have to change the Reversing gear and Manifold
The reversing gear shaft ends are different , so you will have to change the hole reversing gear unit, or change the shaft . Beside that the reversing gears are the same .
The exhaust will exit from the other end so you will need a new universal Manifold like the one MMI sell, if you don't already have one .
Hope this Helps Rick

V-drives incorporate a reduction, typically 2:1.

Thus, if you want to retain the same prop, you'll need to get a 2:1 reduction unit for the A4's output shaft. I would recommend it, as it makes it much easier to keep your A4 running up at 2200-2400 rpm where it develops substantially more power and is generally much happier.

You'll also probably need to replace the shaft flange, as I believe these are different between the v-drive and the direct or reduction drive models.

And lastly, you'll likely want to move the shift arm from the side it's on to the opposite side in order to try and minimize rerouting of the shifter cable.

I'd be happy to take your cast-off v-drive off your hands!

SOME V-drives incorporate a reduction. Mine happens not to.
