Charging batteries

How long should my engine have to run to fully charge my batteries? I have an original alternator and about 200aH capacity one battery is deep cycle ant the other is starting. Both are lead acid. These batteries are mounted in battery boxes under the settie in my Catalina 27 so they are on a slight angle, should I be concerned about this? These batteries are new within the last 3 years, whoudl i need to water them? What is the procedure for wattewring them properly?

There are too many variables to answer your question with any degree of
definition; e.g. charging rate, how full is full on the charge, condition of
your batteries to name just a few. I suggest you charge your batteries one
time to the level you wish, and then you'll know how long you will have to
run your engine to charge your batteries to the same level in the future.

Regarding servicing requirements for your particular batteries, you'll have
to inquire with the manufacturer. They might be the so-called no
maintenance batteries which require no water.
