Anyone tried the RS11 CANbus Engine Data Converter?

Hi all,

Sailing for 50+ years, but new to using inboards. And I'm not known for extensive knowledge of engine mechanics . Last year got a 1978 Catalina 30 with A-4 -- well maintained, but not much upgraded. Need to upgrade knot and depth meters, and thinking of installing NMEA 2000 network. So then the question is: Can I also add engine monitors (just the basics -- temp and RPM) to the system? This RS11 CANbus Engine Data Converter is the first thing I've found that might do the trick. Anyone with experience?

Thanks.
