Thrilled to be a Pearson 30 owner

Just came into ownership of a 1973 Pearson 30, #319. (It is my first cruiser and a dream come true. Have a 19' daysailer, and done lots of dinghy sailing, most recently on Rhodes 19s.)So far all seems well. A4 looks to be well maintained & cared for. Still pulling maint. records together, but they're out there. I am the 4th owner. She's been out of the water since Fall 2016. Got a tip at work about this web-site, and happy to find others with P-30s. Came with 3 genoas , main & spinnaker but spinnaker pole is MIA. The seller has been great, and is still looking for it, but so far no joy. Storage mounts for spin pole on Port foredeck are 11'-10" apart, and "J" dimension is 12.5'. Anyone got a used Spin pole they are willing to part with? Web research in Narragansett Bay area has turned up very little. Any guidance on spin pole specs?

You don't need a pole to fly it. I only use the pole about 10% of the time I have my chute up.

I have a homemade version of this. I can do repeated gybes without leaving the cockpit or waking up my sleeping wife to help

Thanks guys. I have raced Rhodes 19s for about 5 years, and have gotten comfortable with flying the kite sans pole until we settle in with whatever the wind is doing. I'll check out the web-site noted. I may end up making one to fit the spin pole storage mounts on the port forward deck. At 11'-6" it is short for the J dimension on the PHRF input sheet for the craft, but I'm not looking to put (or patch) any more penetrations through the deck...
