Hoses hard to remove
So, it is fall in Chicago--a mild one-- and I want to properly do the antifreeze thing. Did not have to remove thermostat in the past becasue I did not have one. Now I have new hoses etc. and a thermostat. Need to remove the hoses attached to the thermostat cap to remove the thermostat, but how do I get the hoses off the barbs without ruining the hoses? They were put on with the help of a hose lubricant. Someone said to use a hairdryer to warm the hoses. Is that dangerous given the proximity to a gas source?
