    Farewell from Jonny Quest

    Hi Afourian friends!

I wanted to drop by and give a wholehearted thanks to all of you and to our friends at Moyer Marine. I have been spending less and less time with my boat as other family obligations are on the rise. My ODay has gone to a new home with a young man who is just getting into sailing-- I wish him the best.

And best wishes to all of you. I hope you continue to enjoy your wrench bending time, yet still make time to get out on the water.

    Regards,

    Jonny Quest

I presume you refered the new owner to this forum?
Also did you advise the new owner to obtain a copy of the Moyer manual?

    TRUE GRIT

Even though you sold your boat may fair winds and smooth seas be with you always.

Thanks for the well wishes John. Yes, I evem bequeathed him my cherished Moyer Manual--that was hard to let go of!

I urged him to join the group and to look up my postingd to see what I've experienced and done on the engine.

      Regards

                  Awww....

You know, you guys are so great, when I hit the Lottery I'm going to buy a me spanky brand new boat and have the factory rip out their brand new motor and put a crusty old Atomic into it! --Just to be with ya'll.

Maybe I'll get a Catamaran so I can put two crusty old Atomics into it!

I'll be lurking in the leewinds

Nice picture Jerry. One of us knows a Westsail 32 when he sees one (now that I said it I sure hope I'm right).

                          Always an Afourian

Jonny, fair winds and good luck! You can still come here to play as you are a qualified Afourian! That is something that will not go away although it may fade with years.

                          Best~~Dave Neptune

                            New Owner of JonnyQuest

Instead of waiting for JonnyQuest's new owner to someday join the A4 Community, does the forum allow or would it be okay for one of the senior regulars to extend an invitation to him via an email? If so, Jonny, would you have the new owner's contact info and share with one of the MVP's? Even though that person is informed by Jonny of the community, someone contacting him and welcoming him aboard seems like a friendly gesture that means no harm and encourages him to be comfortable with his "new"purchase. Wish I knew about the forum earlier than I did.

I'm Trying to Buy Jonny Quest

Does anyone know Jonny Quest's former owner? The young man he sold the boat to loves it, but lives far from where she's kept and is selling her. I'm having the boat surveyed next week and am very excited at the opportunity to sail her. I'd like to get in touch with the previous owner to hear from him all the things he did to the boat while he owned it. Thanks for your help!
