Mauricio,
Welcome to the forum. Where is Chicxulub??? I personally like Nigel Calder's Book. Here is a link to it on Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/Boatowners-Mec.../dp/0071432388

Leave it to MM!
I like that wiring kit, Excellent...
Welcome to the forum Mauricio... +1 on Shawn's recommendation. One comment though; One would think that with as many sailboats that were manufactured and sold with A4's in them that Mr. Calder would have included a respective amount of content on the A4. Thanks MM for for all you do.

Welcome Aboard
Where in the Yucatan are you? I've been to Merida and around a bit. The drawings and schematics section of the forum will help. There is quite a bit about electrical in there. TRUE GRIT |

Just a suggestion
Hmm... my A4 has been (I presume) re-wired at some point with a pre-made wiring harness leading to the instrument panel. It has all the proper-colored (but maybe not proper gauge) conductors made into a cable with QD's at the end. I assume that it's after-market because there are several coils of slack zip-tied up in the lazarette. I wonder where it came from?
Anyway, it seems as if a nice way to do it might be such a cable (with the proper gauges of wire) AND a fuse box / terminal strip for either end all set up for the proper fuses or circuit breakers. At least, that's what I'm aiming for. |

I have a couple of harnesses that came with the engines I bought, everything connected to the engines I get, prop, shaft, harness , panel, fuel tank , mounts. I think the harness you have is just the universal harness that came with the engine, all of mine came with plenty of extra harness all coiled up and tied off. The builder does this I think rather than cut and risk messing up the harness and connecters.
