They do starter motors, alternators, water pumps, industrial carburetors, flywheels, clutch plates and brake linings.

The place is dirty, crumbling, dark, cluttered, filthy, and in a crappy part of town. But every guy there is polite and helpful. They seem to know their stuff.

They replaced my starter motor coils on a walk-in basis, in just a couple hours, for $35. Pretty hard to beat that with a stick.

+1 on Automotive Manufacturers in Richmond, VA. I brought them a big ball of rust that mostly resembled a Delco starter. For $75 they rebuilt it - new solenoid, brushes, etc - and cleaned and painted it with a clear coat. It now looks and operates like new.
