    Atomic 4 engine for sale

I have an atomic 4 engine for sale to the highest bidder. It's in my 1979 27' Catalina. It was working fine up till the front main seal behind the fly wheel started leaking. I am now using a 6hp johnson with a kick plate, it seems to push me right along. I will also give the highest bidder all of the controls,Transmission, gas tank and any thing else that goes with the motor. I'm going to keep the shaft and prop. I'm planning on going electric. You can reach me at (772) 288-4455 or email me at drsnook1@gmail.com Just ask for AJ...... 10/07/2011.

Just FYI: Your engine does NOT HAVE a front main seal. So maybe it just has too much oil or something.
edit - not in the sense of someone stealing it - the engine was made that way

Since there is no front seal on an A4 what do you think caused this leaking? Too much oil? Water in the oil? You may be able to easily fix whatever caused this leaking to start.

DR> SNOOK...a location would help,..but I agree with the other posters...right now, you might be wasting the hassle of using the outboard while you drag the weight of the inboard around.

AJ, Your oil slinger holes may be clogged. You can remove the fly wheel and run a wire up through to clear. You can not see the holes, must be done by feel.
