New Forum...Great Idea
Hello All!
Just reporting in, after first week long cruise of season #20 with my A-4. Engine ran smoothly, cleanly, and quietly, on two multi-hour legs (no wind). These little engines are AMAZING ! I've purchased a new RACOR filter as recommended on the Forum, but have not gotten around to installing it yet. I'm also seriously considering the switch to electronic ignition, but with never having had a "Failure-to-start" experience,I'm wondering if the philosophy of : "if it ain't broke......." , should apply here? Do I remember reading here, about a kit to upgrade to a positive crankcase ventillation system?.....Now that might be a nice little mod. Happy Motoring ! Bill McNamara '78 C&C 34. P.S. Good Ideas
Bill--
I don't see any replies to your question, so I'll just quickly chime in. I have both the ventilation kit and a self-installed electronic ignition. Both were good additions; the later was and continues to be fabulous. I think my A4 runs significantly better with the new ignition, and I'm out of the points game. I need to add another to my spares kit, along with wires, plugs, rotor, cap, and coil. As for the Racor, I'm hoping to add one soon. Enjoy. Walt 1969 Pearson Coaster #114 Passages |
