Grampian 30

Hello All,
I have been rebuilding a G-30 for 4 years and after not starting the engine for 3.5, I had a go this week. I changed the points, condenser, cap, rotor, plugs, and coil, turned it over 6-8 times and she started.

Thanks to Mo for a quick call regarding the coil.

This was the last major item on a never ending list before I put the boat back in the water.

Joe

Hi Joe,

Welcome to the forum! Now that you've got her running, this is the place to be to help keep her running reliably!

Talking WOW

Joe, welcome to the Afourian Forum.

It is nice to have someone chime in because they got it running and not because they could not figure out why it wasn't running YET.

You will find a vast amount of engine, boat, tech and general knowledge on this forum. And the good part is we get along quite well for any kind of forum.

Joe has been around here on the forum for a while...most people around here that have boats are able to handle the A4. I've gotten a few of them running at our club here this year. All new owners of boat with A4's for engines. One had a blocked exhaust manifold...found that in all of 10 minutes. The owner took it off and cleaned it out....he should have that one up and running today.

thanks for the welcome but as Mo said, I have been around here for quite a few years, just decided to activate my work computer for forum.
I had an A4 in my Tartan 27 that I sold before buying this boat.
I'm sure there's a way to connect to my home computer but I am way to old to figure it out.

Nice to hear of another G30! I bought mine in 2013 and it's been a journey since. Getting there, though.
