Oil Pressure Sending Unit Nipple

Reading the safety considerations on page 1-2 of the MMI A4 Svc. & Overhaul manual, it seems to me preemptively replacing the oil pressure sending unit nipple on a 32-year-old (assumed) engine would be an easy enough thing to do. Is that the point of Product No. - BRSS_05_431, Brass nipple 1/8" x 1 1/2" on this page?

Thanks,
Jim
