Cylinder cooling drain cock
The drain cock and corroded 1/8" pipe fell off. I can not find location on the block. It does not leak so far. I would like to replace piping or at least install a plug. Any help to locate connection to the engine?

Two possible locations, both on the starter side of the engine. First is between the alternator belt and the distributor, just above the alternator drive. Second is at the same elevation and behind the starter (might have to remove the starter to see it - check the first location first).
There's probably a remaining piece of 1/8" pipe in the block. When you find it and decide to remove it (is it a problem?), soak it with penetrating oil (PB Blaster) and then remove using the biggest EZ-out that will fit. Replace with a plug. |
