I used to have good luck on other engines using Varsol to thin the oil/water "milkshake".

I use the Pella 6000 suction oil extractor:

You can remove the small dipstick tube and use the larger diameter hose. I found that it just fits inside of the hose that connects my aftermarket oil filter to the large plug on the crankcase.
