I've a late model engine in a 1970 Cal.

I noticed low compression and valves ticking ( but not sticking) in cylinder #2.

There is smoke in exhaust (oil is clean) and oil in the intake...

The PO of my boat purchased an early model ignition kit,
cap, rotor, points, and condenser.
The engine is a late model with eletronic ignition and so none of these components fit.
