Thanks Al, it looks like in my case honing the guides and polishing the tapets should be sufficient. I'm struggling now with the accessory gear.
one is good on the outside but rusty inside the other...

How do you change valve guides
I was told i might have to change valve guides and i was wondering how it's done because i didn't see it mentioned in the part2 of the overhaul guide. May be it can only be done by a machine shop?

Stuck piston
I was able to open up the engine but i still can't move the shaft it looks like the pistons are stuck. What is the best way to extract them without breaking them?
Are they still usable?

Broken stud and rusted bolts
So i've been progressing with my first engine tear down. It was badly rusted do i had a few broken studs and bolts but i managed to open it.

so cutting a slot in the bolt ended up working...
so cutting a slot in the bolt ended up working the best. i used a small file and it cut through the top of the bolt fairly easily. Now i removed all the studs but in the process 3 of them broke...
