I always left the key in the ignition switch....

I always left the key in the ignition switch. When the switch began to be unreliable I installed a toggle for the ignition and a pushbutton for the starter. Very happy with this config.

He pulled the shaft, installed the new cutless, and today...

It'll pulse 13 up to 14ish every hour for weeks then not do it for weeks. Load stays the same.

I only use the iron sail in and out of the marina....
