It's a brand new carb, the tank was recently inspected and it's flawless.
For what it's worth, I noticed the gas odor before the new carb was installed too.
All the hoses are new, marine fuel grade...

Is there a step by step rebuild manual available?
I already have the overhaul manual (but it's at the boat).
I may be wrong but I don't recall it going into as much detail as a full blown rebuild.

No need to tap, the kit comes with a spacer plate with a hole machined into it.

Fresh start after long term storage
