That does not sound very far. Many Atomic Fours have done the ICW running from dawn to dusk for weeks.
I did it with no problems with the engine.
The longest single run has been 150 miles non stop.

That insulation I have pictured does not have foil backing. It is just woven fiberglass. (I think 2 inches wide) It stays together pretty well. After 10 years the exhaust failed and I made a new one....

Tach and ammeter are in the cabin.

A fun project would be to fabricate a manual fuel shut off valve that is operated by a bowden/choke cable from the cockpit. It might not be too hard to do. Probably one can be found with google.
