Nice diagram. Don't forget. Critical to this diagram for those rebuilding a manual fuel pump is the replacement valves.

Make sure they are installed in the same orientation as they were removed. My advice, r/r the valves one at a time to make sure they are installed properly.

Else, take before photo to ensure proper r/r install. It is the most critical step in rebuilding the manual fuel pump....pump won't work with valves in backwards.

Just my opinion...

Easy fix.
 
If you are having a problem getting fuel to the carb, here is a quick check;

If the primmer handle moves easy, your fuel pump needs new springs. The fuel pump will not pump fuel if these springs are weak. These two springs (in the bottom part of the pump) move the rod in and out of the engine. That little rod moves the diaphragm which pumps the fuel from the tank to the carb. Those two little springs are going up, and down like crazy as the engine is running.I would change them about every 1000 hours of running. It's a good idea to have an extra fuel pump rebuild kit on hand.(two springs are in the kit.)
