Stainless Steel Cooling Jacket Cover
 

I bought a Stainless Steel cooling jacket cover from Moyer about 12 years ago and I no longer see it in the catalog. Is there a reason it is no longer available? I am rebuilding my engine and mine is in great condition but I wonder if there are galvanic corrosion issues with the Stainless Steel cover and the rest of the engine. I use fresh water cooling so no salt water is in the engine.

We discontinued offering stainless water jacket side plates because we sold so few of them. We assume that folks made the calculation that the additional life expectancy of the side plate simply wasn't worth the extra cost of stainless. That said, we know of no issues with the stainless plates due to galvanic corrosion, so I recommend that you continue using your stainless plate. Don
