My A4 motor is locked up. I ran it out of gas and to restart the gas line siphon I used started fluid for about 10 seconds to see if I could get the gas flowing again. Did not, so quit for the day. The next morning the motor was locked even with plugs removed. Have checked the obvious (starter not engaged, transmission in neutral, tried to spin flywheel manually, put 2-cycle gas into plug openings, etc.) What could have happened, and how do I troubleshoot the problem?

Ok, Thanks for all the inputs. I have since determined that the engine is not repairable, so am looking for a rebuilt one somewhere. Meanwhile, I have one question about pulling the engine. The prop shaft is inserted into the transmission and secured with two lock screws which I have removed. Will he shaft now fall out when I move the A4 foreward or do I have to remove the housing at rear of transmission?
