Baileyem, A few years ago you posted about how securing the sheath on the transmission cable seemed to remedy your shifting problems, at least you hoped it would take care of them. As I recently lost the ability to shift underway and remounted the sheath in its bracket (from which it had been slipping--the boat is new to me), I am hoping that the stabilizing of the sheath will prove sufficient until I can measure and order the right length cable and refit this winter. What was your experience after the adjustments were made? Was the sheath, in fact , the problem. Did you need to make other adjustments after that?
I know I am referring to old posts here, and I hope I am not bothering you, but there are not many references to the sort of adjustment we have made.
Thank you,
Chad
