Hello.....I am concerned about the possibility of CARBURETOR ICING on my A-4, late model engine. There are times that the engine does a slow shutdown, common with fuel starvation. The engine when warm will then start up immediately after shutting down and runs normally (as a side note, the higher the rpm (over 1500-1800 the more the possibility of shutdown. This has happened when the humidity is around 80+% and the temperature is 85+- degrees. I am familiar with carb icing in aircraft engines ranging from 200HP to 3,500HP, and the solution here is to apply Carb Heat and put the carb mixture to full rich; these options are not available on the A-4. The fuel system from tank to input manifold has been cleaned and adjusted by Marina Personnel
So gang, any ideas/comments?

Greetings.....I am about to install a Delco starter solenoid on a late model A4. The solenoid matched the old one exactly, but I am concerned about the large return wire spring, and the wiring. Any warnings before I try this? I do have a little mech. ability. Thanx Jim Huhta S/V "Sea-130" 1979 Catalina 27 TR, Sturgeon Bay, WI
