    Dave:

Hey, I've decided to not COMPLETELY give up on my Atomic 4. I'm taking it apart as we speak and looking for a replacement block! Do you know (or have a rough estimate) about how much they should run for? I have a guy showing me a block tomorrow but I don't want him to rip me off on the price. I'm almost certain that everything else on my A4 is in GREAT shape (you've seen the pictures). Just need to get her back together again!

    Peace man

Rick, that is why I am using the copper tubing on mine. The poly tubing ran close to the exhaust and melted on mine to after a couple of months though. I am using about 2 1/2 feet of tubing to go to a panel I have mounted at the nav station, it's about two feet away but you want to put a loop in it for vibration dampening. The gage doesn't get warm at all.
    Regards Dave

    Hi Dave,

On your engine vacuum gauge, how do you isolate the gauge from the hot engine?

My plastic connecting hose melted today!

If you have a metal pipe connection, won't that conduct heat all the way out to the gauge?

    Thanks!

Dave ,thank you on the pressure gauge advise, that has to be it ,as timing is left alone.
My next question with your admired knowledge is I just changed plugs 3 months ago and do regularly,to notice when I pulled each out and had my mate fire the ignition all were creating no spark, replaced with new and fired up beautifully, how can they be toast allready?

Tim ask away. I have no problem with that.

Dave.. I was just reading a post about fuel issues and saw a lengthy and wise post you left. Could I ask a question in the same area?

    Thanks Tim
