Today I tried to start my engine after a very long winter.

This a raw water cooled engine. In the fall I remove the water intake at the hull and ran the engine while sucking anti-freeze out of a bucket as I have done the the last 30 years or so. I put a bit of MMO in the conbustion chambers and replace the sparkplugs. OK so far.

Today I took out the sparkplugs and quickly tuned the engine over using the starter. Instead of a bit of oil I had anti-freeze coming out of #3 and #4 cylinders. No big deal I thought, I have had the head gasket fail between those 2 cylinders once before, so I took off the head planning to replace the gasket but found that it was OK before I started messing with it. It realy does need replacing now, but I havn't got the foggiest idea what to do next.

I am looking for a simple answer (ie cheap) but I am assume that I will have to spend more than I want to get up and running.

Did I mention that the engine was built in 1961
