Domenic, thanx for the "friends" message. I just can't figure out how to put you in. I did it by accident with one and can't seem to figure it out. I am not real good with online sites and how they work. I have tried many times and have finally just given up. perhaps a bit of tutiledge from someone will help.
Thanx Buddy!
Domenic, that engine noise. I think we need more. If you would like to give me a call 902 461 1228 I'll try and help you out. I'd like to know more about your engine, and hopefully help point you directly at the problem.

OK, Columbia 28. I worked at the Columbia plant in Costa Mesa, Calif. in 1971. At that time the 28 was no longer produced but your descriptions of what you're dealing with bring back a lot of memories, that's the way they did things. If I recall, your boat was a William Crealock design, he also did their 26, 34, 36, 39, and 43. His designs always had a sort of bubble in the deck. Yours and the 36 were at the aft end of the cabin trunk, all the others had a flush deck with the bubble.
Welcome to the forum, it's great. Following the advice here will render you a reliable engine and if you follow the lead of that neatnik RoadnSky (and others), you'll have a beautiful little gem too.
