Hi Marthur, Im out in Lake Union of Seattle. Managed to get the carb on and off, and now that I installed the flexible fuel hose/inline filter, I think its going to be a lot easier to get it off in the future! Good tip.

    Hi LemonShark,

I widened the access in the starboard quarter berth by ALOT. Enough to get my head and both shoulders through. When working on the front of the engine, I will occassionally remove the engine room door. For the quarter berth, I made a new hatch cover exactly like the old one, but about twice as long.

The port sail locker could be expanded as well, but I usually work from the front or starboard because it is easier than climbing into the locker. Or empyting it LOL

I don't have a picture at the moment. Where are you located?

    Hi Mike!

I've got a Cat 27, and I was referred to you about cutting extra room for engine access. Like one fellow said, its like doing repairs down the barrel of a gun right now! I had wanted to cut a little more room, but was worried about compromising any structural integrity. Any pointers?
