    Exhause smoke

Not long ago I added some Marvel Miracle oil to the gas - about 1 pint to 8 gallons gas. Now I am getting blue exhaust smoke on start and to some degree above 1400 RPM. Is this a concern?

    Excess Smoke

    Excellent Result with Indigo's Kit
I have now run for one season after installing Indigo's PVC filter kit on my Atomic 4 and the results have been excellent. I had excess fumes from the crankcase tube that came originally with the A4 and depended on the fumes being sucked into the carb through the spark arrestor. My A4 has the original Bendix/Zenith carb and installation was simple and uneventful. Go to www.atomic4.com for details and ordering.

      Blue Smoke

Blue smoke usually indicates oil being burned in the combustion chamber. Have you tried a compression check? Also, old gas smokes pretty bad now-a-days. I gues the aqdditives and what ever goes into the new gas formulations breaks down rather quickly. In fact, after only 3/4 to a year I am smoking much more than usual but a load of fresh gas usually disapates the smoke.

Keep in mind Marvel's doesn't require much to be added to the tank. One pint to 8 gallons seems like a bit much, and considering it is an oil of some type, may explain the blue smoke. But Don should be able to guide you better on the ratio that I can, but I use several ounces to 20 gallons.
